On October 27, 2023, the coordinators of the Youth Union Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held a “TALENT SHOW” competition. In the contest, students participated in the areas of public speaking, painting, performing arts, dancing, singing, poetry and demonstrated their talents.

Ravshankulova Marjona in oratory, Statut Guzal in painting, Jabborov Alisher and Bahronov Isfandiyar in performing arts, Khusanova Khadichabonu, Normurotova Malika, Vafokulova Asal in dance, Khaitboev Shahrukh in poetry, Rafieva Rukhshona, Bakhtiyorova Muattar, Rasulova Zarguna, Niyozov Mansur in singing won this event.

At the end of this entertaining competition, the winners were presented with memorable souvenirs.

On October 26, 2023, the event “Parents Congress” held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. At the beginning of the congress, the parents invited as guests were familiarized with the activities of the university, particularly the educational processes, modern conditions created for students and young people. In addition to studying the conditions created for their children's education, parents who visited the university met with the university management and received answers to their questions.

First Vice-Rector of the university, Prof. J.Eltazarov, who opened the congress with an introductory speech and expressed his proposals for improving cooperation between parents and the educational institution. It was noted that in conditions of growing globalization the protection of youth from the influence of various alien ideas lies in the formation of a spiritually healthy, broad worldview, qualities capable of resisting various destructive ideas. Nargiza Abduvakhidova, head of the department on work and activity of mahalla with youth, Rano Toshniyazova, head of the department, M.Abbasova, chairwoman of women’s council told about educational processes, about modern conditions created for student youth, as well as that their manners, morality should be an example for others.

At the end of the event, parents of students who showed their activity, knowledge and leadership potential at the events organized at the university were presented with “Certificates of Appreciation”.

On October 25 of this year, within the framework of 5 important initiatives of the Women’s Council of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Department of Youth Work, a master class on “Learning to cook salads and desserts” held within the circle “Culinary Secrets”, organized between the students of the university.

At the event, students and girls shared their experience about the history of the origin of dishes and salads of the world, the processes of their preparation, the secrets of cooking sweets.

On October 25 of this year within the XII National Information and Library Week “INFOLIB UZBEKISTAN-2023” in Samarkand Regional Information and Library Center named after A.S.Pushkin intellectual game “Zakovat” held. In this competition the team “SILK ROAD” of our university took the first place among five university teams and organizations.

      On October 26, psychologist of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage D. Turdiyeva together with the head of the faculty “Management in Tourism” R. Toshniyozova held a motivational training “Get married and be lost? No!”

      Female students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, as well as the chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council M. Abbasova were invited to the event. Classification of family psychology was analyzed in the theoretical part of the training. And in the practical part relaxation exercises and psychological techniques were performed, which promote mental calmness, emotional stability and form collective cohesion and solidarity.

      The participants of the training were charged with positive energy and good mood.

The Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Public-Private Partnership” and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 9, 2021 “Measures to increase the level of coverage of students with accommodation in the higher education institutions of the Republic” 563 of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on the basis of the conditions of public-private partnership in the territory of the Samarkand Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage located at 12 Turkistan Street, Samarkand city under the university the construction of a 400-bed student residence is planned.

On June 16, 2023, the agreement No. 37-2023 was signed between the private initiative family enterprise “Z-P-A” and the university on the construction, equipment, use, service and return of student accommodation. According to the expert opinion, the total cost of this project is 25,527,529,795 (twenty-five billion five hundred and twenty-seven million five hundred and twenty-nine thousand seven hundred and ninety-five) soums, of which 13,527,529,795 (thirteen billion five hundred twenty-seven million five hundred twenty-nine thousand seven hundred ninety-five) soums from the entrepreneur’s own funds, 12,000,000,000 (twelve billion) soums and part is carried out at the expense of subsidy funds allocated from the State budget.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 239 dated May 6, 2022 “On approval of the regulation on the procedure for allocating subsidies from the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the construction of student residences on the basis of public-private partnership” for the construction of student residences the university applied to the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation on July 6, 2023 with letter No. 810 regarding the allocation of state subsidy funds.

On July 26, 2023, part of the State subsidy in the amount of 4,000,000,000 (four billion) soums was financed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and transferred to a special account of the university.

According to paragraph 12 of the regulation approved by the said resolution, the amount of 3,829,129,469 (25,527,529,795 s.15%) was transferred to the special account of the private partner until July 28, 2023. Thereafter, in accordance with paragraph 2 of item 12 of the regulation approved by Cabinet Resolution No. 239 of May 6, 2022, as well as the act of completed works No. 1 of September 7, 2023, an additional amount of 4,170,870,531 was transferred to the special account of the private partner on September 29, 2023.

October 29, 2023 marks the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. In connection with this significant date, on October 26, an event dedicated to the centennial anniversary of the Turkish Republic was held at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The Consul General of Turkey in Samarkand Salih Janer, the rector of the Samarkand State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Professor Chidem Janbay Turkyilmaz, as well as professors and teachers of the Samarkand State University were invited to the event. During the event, the first vice-rector of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage J.D.Eltazarov made a speech congratulating the Turkish people on this historical event. University students also performed at the event, reading poems about the centenary of the Turkish Republic.

On October 24 of this year, the 5th round of the 1st league of “Samarkand ZAKOVAT Club” took place among the educated and intelligent student youth of our university. 105 students divided into three teams took part in the knowledge contest. At the contest the teams tried to answer the questions asked on such subjects as history, philosophy, literature.

Five important initiative competitions promoted by our President have been organized in our country to hold games within the framework of “Five initiative competitions”. In order to promote a healthy lifestyle among the youth and increase their interest in sports, table tennis competitions were organized this year on October 21 among university students of Samarkand region.

The team of student youth of our university also took an active part in the competition, which became the peak of heated debates, and achieved a number of achievements.

On October 19 of this year, the team of students of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage also took an active part in the competition “Five Initiative Olympiads” on volleyball sports tour among students of universities of Samarkand region and was able to show a positive result.
