A historic day for bakhshi art!

The National Commission for UNESCO has received some good news.

In accordance with the Decision of the 16th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, held in Paris, "The Art of Bakhshi" was included in the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

Now this eternal value inherited from our ancestors will never be lost, Bakshi art is now under the protection of the international community, now a solid foundation has been laid for the continuation and development of the Bakshi tradition.

It is no exaggeration to say that this wonderful event is a logical continuation of the efforts made by the Head of our country to preserve and develop the art of bakhshi.

At the moment, the number of our intangible cultural heritage sites, included in the UNESCO list, has reached to 10. Previously, the list included the cultural space of Boysun, classical music Shashmakom, Katta ashula, the art of Askia, Navruz, culture and traditions of pilaf, Margilan center for the development of crafts: sewing adras and atlas, Khorezm dance - Lazgi, art of miniature based on national and international presentation. Now the art of Bakhshi has joined their ranks.

However, it should be noted that there are still a number of sites that can be included in the list. One of the important tasks facing us is to gradually prepare our nominees programs.
