This morning, on the occasion of women's holiday on March 8, the administration of our university, the primary organization of the trade union committee, heads of departments and staff welcomed all the women of our university in a holiday mood. Under the sounds of a special military orchestra each of our women was presented with flowers and said wishes for the holiday. Today, together with the Tourism Committee, a seminar aimed at further improving the quality of services provided at catering enterprises with the involvement of foreign specialists was organised at the Khiva High School of Tourism and Cultural Heritage under "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Representatives of hotel and restaurant business and students of the technical direction "Hotel" and "Organisation of service in public catering" took part in the seminar.

Specialist of the highest category Mashkov Alexander Yurievich, who came from the Russian Federation, held the seminar-training.

At the end of the seminar the participants were awarded certificates.

"HEALTHY LIFE - HEALTHY FUTURE"

On 6 March 2024, on the occasion of the 8th of March International Women's Day, “Fun Starts” competitions held among the teaching staff and female employees under the motto “Healthy Life - Healthy Future” “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

In the competitions, organised on the initiative of the Youth Work and Events Department, Women's Council and Sports Club, the teams checked their strength in terms of moving with a basketball, delivering the ball to the destination on a racket, and pulling the team rope.

At the competitions, which were interesting and uncompromising, the winners and prize-winners were identified and awarded with diplomas, cups and souvenirs.

According to the results of the competition, the teams "Beauties" and "Stars", consisting of female faculty and staff members of the university, were recognised as the absolute winners.

Badminton was organised among our students

On the occasion of International Women's Day on 8 March, badminton competitions were organised among boys and girls, in which students of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took part.

 In the following years, the sport of badminton in our university became widely popular among the students of the university. As a result, the interest in this sport among students and youth is growing day by day.

At the end of the competition, the winning participants were deservedly awarded by the competition organisers.

Rukhshona Erkinova, a 2nd year student of Hotel Management at our university, is one of those young people who wisely uses the opportunities created for young people. Rukhshona is currently doing remote externship for NGS&TNC, for freshwater and community conservation.

Rukhshona Erkinova won selection for a free seat in the IELTS exam and was given the opportunity.

"Passing the IELTS exam was one of my plans to do this spring because it makes me more worthy of opportunities in the world and the volunteer summer camp that is planned to be organised soon. I want to thank the competition organisers for helping me to implement one of my plans," said Rukhshona Erkinova.

The Chairman of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, Professor Akhmadbek Yusupov held an open dialogue with the academic councils of the university, chairmen and secretaries of scientific seminars under them.

The staff and researchers of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage also took part in the conference.

During the meeting Akhmadbek Yusupov expressed his opinion on the reforms carried out in the Higher Attestation Commission.

The dialogue continued in a question-and-answer format, where the chairmen of the councils, secretaries and dissertants answered in detail questions related to their scientific activities.

Today, on 5 March, in the assembly hall of our university, a competition "Lady Tourism" was held with the participation of talented young people to ensure the implementation of 5 important initiatives put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the effective implementation of state policy to support students and girls, protect their rights and legitimate interests, and prepare them for family life. Five resourceful and knowledgeable students studying in all courses of our university took part in the competition.

The first requirement of the competition was self-presentation, in which all our female students told about their successes in their studies in front of the jury and participants. Then the participants demonstrated national values and customs of our nation through various stage images, and also showed their talents in five conditions: answering test questions, carving and performing.

The smartest and most intelligent of our students was recognised as the winner and worthy of the title "Lady Tourism".

The forum of Uzbek-British higher education institutions, organised with the cooperation of the British Council and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation at the University of Westminster in Tashkent, Head of the International Cooperation Department of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Heritage Sardorbek Samaridinov and the leading specialist of the Scientific Research Department Orzubek Inoyatov took part in.

Within the framework of the forum the possibility of establishing co-operation with Advance HE and University of Sunderland, which have their authority in the world, was discussed. Universities of Great Britain also expressed their readiness for co-operation.
