EBRU returns to the motherland

Once the science flourished in Maverannahr, which has a great history, water painting rose to the level of art in Bukhara, and with successive histories this developed first in Iran and then in the Turkic State.

In cooperation with the Turkish Consulate in Samarkand and “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a presentation was held on EBRU, which represents the art of painting on water. Alisher Imamov, who is from Kirghizia, showed professors, lecturers and students at the university how attractive the art is. Ordinary water was mixed with thickened water, tinted with natural dyes and oils, and thus made a drawing of various shapes and colours. One of the first to be drawn at the event was a tulip on water. After that the students of our university also tried to do various drawings themselves. And the result turned out to be quite good. “Our aim is to increase the number of masters by bringing this art back home,” said Alisher Imamov, master of art at EBRU.
