A seminar was held at our university for talented student volunteers selected for the forum "Investing in Children's Wellbeing: Future Generations on the Path to Sustainable and Fair Progress"

Samarkand will soon host two major international conferences. Specifically, the World Summit "Investing in Children's Wellbeing: Future Generations on the Path to Sustainable and Fair Progress" and the 2nd International Congress on Childhood Cancer Control are scheduled to take place.

To organize these prestigious events at a high level and provide guidance to foreign and local delegations, a seminar-training was held at our university today.

The training brought together specially selected talented student volunteers with B2 and higher proficiency levels in foreign languages from Samarkand State University, Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages, and the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

Organized to prepare young participants for major international conferences and familiarize them with protocols for working with foreign guests and security rules, the training featured lectures by leading experts and responsible officials.

In particular:

  • Usmon Sharifkhodjayev — Deputy Director of the National Agency for Social Protection;

  • Rustam Qobilov — Deputy Governor of Samarkand Region for Official Delegations' Visits;

  • Shirin Abidova — Advisor to the Director of the Youth Affairs Agency and Chairperson of the Uzbekistan Volunteers Association;

  • Shakhnoza Pulatova — Department Head at the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation;

  • Representative officials from the National Guard and Tourism Police also shared their guidelines and valuable recommendations.

Conducted in an interactive Q&A and open dialogue format, the seminar provided detailed guidance on the primary duties of volunteers, hospitality culture, rapid action in unexpected situations, and teamwork skills.
