A meeting was organized at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage dedicated to establishing dual education in the field of tourism, integrating the educational process with practice, and bringing students closer to business entities operating in the domestic tourism sector.

The meeting was attended by University Rector M.M. Kholmukhamedov, Head of the Samarkand Region Tourism Department J. Suyunov, Chairman of the Samarkand Region Entrepreneurs Tourism Council T. Djahangirov, as well as representatives of tourism companies operating in domestic tourism.

During the dialogue, special attention was paid to the issues of training specialists equipped with modern knowledge and practical skills, highly demanded in the labor market for the tourism industry.

In particular, through the introduction of the dual education system, proposals were discussed regarding involving students in real work processes alongside theoretical knowledge, developing their professional competencies, establishing long-term cooperation with tourism companies, and ensuring graduate employment.

In addition, an exchange of views took place on developing domestic tourism, creating and promoting tourist products in the regions, involving students in practical projects, and bringing cooperation between the university and the tourism business to a new level.

At the conclusion of the meeting, agreements were reached to strengthen cooperation between the university, tourism sector representatives, and business entities, orient dual education programs toward practice, and implement joint projects aimed at expanding effective educational and professional development opportunities for students.

This initiative serves as an important step in aligning tourism education with real labor market needs, preparing students for the field from an early stage, and nurturing qualified tourism specialists.
