Today, on April 6, the grand opening ceremony of the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” sports competitions was held at the Olympic and Paralympic Glory Museum. This large-scale project is being implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Sports, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, and the National Olympic Committee.
The ceremony was attended by a representative of the Presidential Administration Odil Abdurakhmonov, Minister of Sports Adkham Ikromov, First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Sardor Rajabov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov, as well as university rectors, representatives of sports federations, and the general public. The rectors of higher education institutions of the Samarkand region also took part, in particular, the rector of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” Mukh sinjon Kholmukhamedov, who joined from the studio of the Samarkand Institute of Economics and Service.
For reference, representatives of our university will also participate in this prestigious sports competition in several sports and compete actively.
