From May 3 to 6 of this year, the 59th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) was held at the Samarkand Tourism Center. A total of 159 students from the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” actively participated in this prestigious international event as volunteers.
Notably, the organizers expressed their gratitude to the majority of the students and highly appreciated their effective contributions. On June 8, a certificate awarding ceremony for all volunteer students was held in the university’s Assembly Hall. The Rector of the university, Muhsinjon Xolmuxamedov, attended the event, expressed his sincere appreciation to the volunteers, and encouraged them to take an even more active role in future international events.
The Rector also presented a special gift a book brought from the United States—to student Xushnud Hamroqulov, who demonstrated exceptional dedication and received special recognition from the organizers, and conveyed his best wishes for his future success. It was also announced during the event that students involved in volunteer activities would be financially rewarded.
