On September 23, our university hosted an educational and awareness-raising meeting entitled “Enlightenment Against Ignorance”, aimed at strengthening the spiritual resilience of students, protecting them from various harmful influences, as well as promoting religious tolerance and information literacy.

The event was attended by S. Boymurodov, Head of the Samarkand Regional Department of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan; prevention inspector S. Isakulov; Rector of the University M. Kholmukhamedov; and students.

During the discussion, particular attention was paid to protecting young people from harmful ideologies and misleading information, encouraging responsible and ethical use of the Internet and social media, observing the principles of religious tolerance, as well as improving legal and spiritual awareness.

It was emphasized that, in today’s information environment, it is essential to recognize and analyze false information, destructive propaganda, and extremist ideas, and to approach all information critically and thoughtfully.
