Today, a spiritual and educational event was organized at our university on the occasion of October 18 — Samarkand City Day.

During the event, discussions highlighted the rich history of Samarkand, its unique architectural monuments, national values, and its immense contribution to the development of world civilization. Special emphasis was also placed on the modern development and distinctive cultural heritage of ancient and ever-young Samarkand.

Performances by students, including national dances, historical theatrical sketches depicting the era of Amir Timur, and poems extolling the rich history and unmatched beauty of Samarkand, imparted a festive mood to all attendees.

Through historical stage performances, the glorious chapters of the reign of the great Sahibqiran Amir Timur were brought to life.

The event further strengthened among participants a deep respect for Samarkand's rich historical heritage, devotion to our national values, and a profound sense of pride in our grand city.
