Professor Mahmoud Jaafari-Dehagi, Head of the Department of Ancient Iranian Languages and Culture at the University of Tehran and Chairman of the Board of the Scientific Association of Iranian Studies, recently delivered a captivating lecture on "History of Iranian Languages in Central Asia" at Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural heritage. The lecture focused on the history of Iranian languages in Central Asia and introduced the Iranian languages widely spoken in the region during different historical periods. Professor Mahmoud Jaafari-Dehagi also emphasized the importance of Iranian languages, which has been preserved in Central Asia throughout history.
