On June 10, the First Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan and Spain commenced its work in Madrid. The four-day event is scheduled to be held in the cities of Madrid and Barcelona in the Kingdom of Spain.
Nearly 30 rectors from Uzbekistan are participating in the forum. Among them is Muhsinjon Xolmuxamedov, Rector of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”.
Within the framework of the forum, participants are discussing issues of cooperation with Spain’s leading universities, including expanding mutually beneficial relations in education and science, implementing joint academic programs and research projects, establishing faculty and student exchange programs, organizing short-term internships, and conducting lectures, seminars, and master classes.
In addition, the meetings are expected to result in the signing of memorandums and cooperation agreements in promising areas, the study of international best practices, and the implementation of projects aimed at raising the quality of education to a new level.
