On May 14–15, 2026, the Department of Languages and Global Studies organized a Model United Nations (MUN) role-play session for students of the IR-125 and IR-225 groups as part of the dual education format within the course “Leadership and Diplomacy.” The session was dedicated to the topic “Cybersecurity and Data Protection” in the context of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the exercise, students represented different countries and took part in realistic diplomatic negotiations, engaging in debates and drafting resolutions. Participants developed skills in public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, teamwork, and diplomatic communication. They also discussed contemporary global issues such as cybersecurity, digital governance, and data privacy.
The students demonstrated a high level of engagement and analytical thinking while addressing international cooperation on ensuring cyber resilience and protecting critical information in the digital age.
