On June 13, 2026, a seminar-training titled "Professional Speech and Service Etiquette in the Tourism Sector" was held for representatives of the tourism industry in the Xo'ja Ismoil mahalla of the Payariq district. This seminar-training was organized to fulfill the task of organizing seminar-trainings according to the schedule outlined in clause 112.4 of the "ACTION PLAN for enhancing the tourism potential of territories assigned to higher education institutions for the 2026 tourism season." The plan was established in accordance with letter No. 01-16-241 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, dated April 21, 2026, and in compliance with Presidential Decree No. PQ-135, "On additional measures for the accelerated development of the republic's tourism potential and further increasing the number of local and foreign tourists," dated April 26, 2023, and Presidential Decree No. PQ-269, "On measures to improve the personnel training system in the tourism sector," dated July 18, 2024.
The seminar-training was conducted by Farrux Sattarov, PhD, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Languages and Global Studies. During the event, tourism sector representatives were informed about the culture of professional speech, methods for effective communication with tourists, service etiquette, principles of hospitality, and modern approaches to improving service quality and customer satisfaction.
Additionally, practical exercises and discussions were held with the participants, and recommendations were given on proper communication in various situations encountered during service delivery, identifying tourist needs, and providing a high level of service. At the conclusion of the seminar, participants received answers to their questions and exchanged ideas on further improving service quality in the future.
