Representatives of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage held a meeting at the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) in Baku.During the meeting, the parties noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan have risen to the level of a strategic partnership, while cooperation in the tourism sector continues to grow steadily. From January to November of last year, more than 21,000 Azerbaijani tourists visited Uzbekistan, while in 2025 the number of Uzbek citizens traveling to Azerbaijan increased by 34 percent compared to the previous year. Direct flights on the Baku–Tashkent, Baku–Samarkand, and Baku–Urgench routes are contributing to the expansion of tourist flows.N. Rahimova, Head of the Department of International Business and Creative Economy, and lecturer N. Sultonova informed participants about the university’s role in training qualified specialists for the tourism industry.At the end of the meeting, the university representatives were presented with the CAERC publication titled “Middle Corridor: Analysis of Current Realities and Evaluation of Perspectives.”
