In accordance with Letter No. 01-15-233 of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 17, 2026, and in order to ensure the implementation of Decree No. VMF-121 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 1, 2026, a poetry evening dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of the People's Poet of Uzbekistan, Abdulla Oripov, was organized at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”. The event was held with the participation of senior lecturers Hilola Turakulova and Nilufar Halimova of the Department of Languages and Global Studies, together with the university’s talented and creative students. During this educational and cultural event, information was presented about the life and literary legacy of Abdulla Oripov, and his poems were recited by students. Excerpts from a documentary film depicting the poet’s life and creative journey were also screened.
