An educational and cultural event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the renowned Uzbek poet and public figure Erkin Vohidov was organized by M. Djurayeva, a lecturer of the Department of Languages and Global Studies, with the participation of IR-125 students.
During the event, students delivered presentations on Erkin Vohidov’s life, literary achievements, and his invaluable contribution to the development of Uzbek literature. Particular attention was paid to the patriotic, humanistic, and national values reflected in his works, as well as to his unique artistic style and rich literary heritage.
As part of the program, students recited selected poems by Erkin Vohidov and shared their interpretations of the themes and ideas expressed in his poetry. The participants also discussed the relevance of the poet’s works for contemporary youth and the role of literature in fostering moral and cultural awareness.
The event was conducted in the format of a round-table discussion, allowing students to exchange views on the significance of Erkin Vohidov’s legacy in modern literary and cultural life. The active participation of students, engaging discussions, and creative presentations contributed to a deeper appreciation of national literature and cultural heritage.
