On 2 July, the first online meeting was held between the VET4UZ project team and the directors, deputy directors, and staff responsible for quality assurance from the technical colleges affiliated with the university.

As the starting point of a series of regular dialogues, the meeting focused on the following key issues:

  • Project prospects: A presentation was delivered on the support mechanisms for technical colleges under Phase II (2026–2029) of the VET4UZ project.

  • Current situation analysis: Participants reviewed the admission process for the new academic year, the current state of dual education, and cooperation with employers.

  • Exchange of experience: The meeting explored the successful practices of technical colleges that have completed the implementation of dual education, particularly in terms of graduate employment.

  • Joint plans: The participants agreed on a detailed schedule of collaborative activities and meetings for the year ahead.

For information: The VET4UZ project is funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by HELVETAS. The project aims to improve the quality of vocational education and training (VET) and enhance the employability of graduates.
