A Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Has Been Appointed at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”

Professor Badarch Dendev, a leading scholar with extensive experience in the field of education, is an internationally recognized leader in higher education, former Director of the UNESCO Office in Tashkent, and an expert in digital transformation, systems thinking, and educational innovation. With more than 40 years of experience in academia, public administration, and international organizations, he has led major reforms in higher education, digital learning, and research development across Asia and Europe.

He has served as Rector of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, President of the National University of Mongolia, and UNESCO Director, including leadership positions in Paris, Moscow, and Tashkent. He is widely recognized for introducing the first Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in Mongolia, promoting open and digital education policies, and supporting institutional transformation and capacity building.

Professor Dendev is the author of 15 books, more than 40 scientific articles, and over 300 academic works. Currently, his activities focus on higher education transformation, artificial intelligence in education, systems thinking, and lifelong learning.
