The Silk Road University Network (SUN) is pleased to announce the International Essay Competition YICGG 2026 (Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance), organized in cooperation with Fudan University (China) and the network’s chair institution, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy).
This prestigious competition has been held annually for the past 12 years and focuses on addressing important global challenges. The general theme for 2026 is:
“World Cultural Heritage and Human Civilization.”
Students are invited to submit original essays on one of the four sub-themes within the main topic. Winners will be selected through a three-stage evaluation process. The final presentations and award ceremony will take place on 20–24 July 2026 in Venice, Italy.
Deadline for submitting the essay outline: 23 April 2026.
The initial outline does not need to be perfect and may be further improved at later stages.

This competition provides an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their academic knowledge, research skills, and innovative ideas, as well as to engage with an international academic community.
All interested students are encouraged to participate.
