Today, on May 14, the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Silk Road Culture and Ecology: Exploring the Interconnection Between Nature and Traditions” began its work at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The two-day conference was opened with welcoming remarks by Deputy Governor of the region Rustam Qobilov and the university rector Muhsinjon Xolmuxamedov. It was emphasized that the development of Silk Road culture and ecology plays an important role in further advancing the tourism sector.
University rector Muhsinjon Xolmuxamedov noted that cultural heritage and tourism are closely interconnected fields. He also stressed that the number of foreign tourists visiting our country has increased by 48 percent this year compared to the same period last year, demonstrating the growing contribution of this sector to the national economy.
The international conference featured scientific presentations by Green University’s Vice-Rector Tony Zou, as well as a number of foreign and local professors, scholars, and experts. Active participants were awarded certificates by the organizers. The conference is continuing its work.
