On April 17, 2026, an international conference titled “Prospects for the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies” was held at Zarmed University.
At the event, the Vice-Rector of our university, Professor Tongqian Zou, delivered a lecture on “Artificial Intelligence and its Application in Smart Tourism.” In his presentation, he summarized the historical development of artificial intelligence technologies and their application in the tourism sector, while also outlining future trends.
In particular, topics such as the transition from chatbots to advanced AI systems, the introduction of AI as the first point of contact, simplification of bureaucracy, digital nomad destinations, differences in technology adoption and the human factor, as well as the idea that AI creates opportunities rather than replacing humans, generated great interest among the audience.
The conference was attended by representatives from 10 countries, including India, Russia, and Turkey.
