On May 12, 2026, an international seminar-training titled “From Strategy to Practice: Implementing Quality Assurance (QA) Processes in Higher Education Institutions” was held at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the framework of the QUARTZ project (“Quality Assurance for Reform and Transformation of HEIs in Uzbekistan”), implemented in cooperation with the European Union.
The event was dedicated to improving the quality of education and quality assurance systems in higher education institutions, introducing modern assessment criteria, and studying international best practices.
During the seminar, the following issues were discussed:
Principles of quality and quality assurance in higher education;
Developing Strategic, Operative and Supporting Processes for Quality Assurance (QA);
Indicators and measurement methods for Quality Assessment of Third Mission and Stewardship: the role of the QA Unit;
Workshop on QA Strategy Implementation: Overview & Improvement.
Professors, lecturers, and specialists from the University of L'Aquila and the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage participated in the event with presentations and lectures.
