On June 4, 2026, Nilufar Abdukhafizovna Khalimova, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of “Languages and Global Studies” at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, organized a Students Scientific Conference titled "Ibrohim Gafurov — The Epitome of Translation Mastery" with participation of TTE-124, TTE-224 and FLJ-125 groups students. The conference was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the renowned literary scholar and translator Ibrohim Gafurov. Throughout the conference, presentations and speeches highlighted Ibrohim Gafurov's multifaceted work, his exceptional skill in the art of translation, and his invaluable contribution to the development of our national literature.

During the conference, an engaging quiz and interactive question-and-answer session generated great interest among the participants. The event primarily focused on highlighting Ibrahim Gafurov’s rich literary and scholarly legacy, as well as his prolific contributions as a translator and literary critic. Through the conference, students had the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of his outstanding contribution to the development of Uzbek literature and the school of translation studies, his exceptional creative mastery, and his enduring intellectual and spiritual heritage. The event also inspired young people to further explore Ibrahim Gafurov’s life and works and to draw valuable lessons from his scholarly and literary achievements.
