Job Title: Educator-Pedagogue
Education: Higher (Master's degree).
Specialization: Pedagogy and Psychology, Tourism, History, Philology (Candidates who have graduated from universities listed in the TOP-500 or TOP-1000 will receive additional points).
Work Experience:
Ø At least 5 years of experience in the field of education and upbringing;
Ø Possession of significant life experience and qualities that serve as an example and role model for students;
Ø Knowledge of basic principles of pedagogy, psychology, and upbringing;
Ø Familiarity with state policies related to youth, current events in the social-political life, and the educational policies of the Republic of Uzbekistan;
Ø A culture of reading and other exemplary personal qualities, intellectual and cultural capabilities, leadership, creativity, politeness, organizational skills, initiative, and entrepreneurship, along with a sense of responsibility, the ability to make independent decisions and take action, determination, and the ability to ensure the achievement of the institution's strategic goals.
Foreign Language Proficiency: Knowledge of Russian and English languages.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), complete knowledge of office software, ability to use the internet and social media, and practical skills in working with computers.
Job Responsibilities: The Educator-Pedagogue at the university's student dormitory (hereinafter referred to as the SD) is responsible for ensuring that students spend their free time in a meaningful and productive manner. This includes promoting the national ideology in the minds of university students, shaping their political consciousness, vigilance, and creating a free citizen's mindset in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Education, Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of the Supreme Assembly and the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as orders and instructions from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
The role also involves fostering students’ active engagement with the ongoing changes, events, and reforms in society, increasing their responsiveness, and protecting them from the influence of extremist ideologies threatening the development of our country. The ultimate goal is to form a spirit of spiritual and moral education and raise well-rounded individuals.
The Educator-Pedagogue organizes spiritual and educational activities at the student dormitory (SD) and is responsible for the students' upbringing.
Spiritual and educational work at the SD is carried out in collaboration with the Department for Working with Talented Youth and the following partners:
The primary organization council of the Youth Union;
The Women's Committee of the university;
The trade union committee;
The faculty deans' offices;
The academic departments;
Representatives of other public organizations.
Representatives of the partner organizations visit the SD according to a designated plan.
The Educator-Pedagogue conducts explanatory work regarding the proper use of room equipment in accordance with the passport and entry-exit system, as well as fire safety measures at the student dormitory (SD).
Ø In cases of gross violations of established rules and regulations, and unethical behavior by students at the SD, the Educator-Pedagogue reports these issues to the dormitory administration, faculty deans, and vice-rectors, and discusses the possibility of expelling the students from the dormitory.
Ø Actively participates in organizing meetings, discussions, and Q&A sessions with prominent public figures, scientists, writers, poets, and artists in the cultural recreation rooms of the SD, dedicated to national holidays and significant dates. In coordination with the university's Youth Work Department, the Spirituality and Enlightenment Department, and the Department for Working with Talented Youth, the Educator-Pedagogue arranges student visits to museums, theaters, and exhibitions.
Ø Provides suggestions for equipping the SD according to modern design standards, including the placement of relevant slogans, pictures, and wall posters.
Ø Ensures high-quality meetings with law enforcement authorities, such as the prosecutor’s office, courts, and internal affairs officers, to raise students’ legal awareness, promote adherence to laws, and prevent violations. These meetings are organized quarterly in the SD.
Ø The Educator-Pedagogue introduces students to the life of the educational institution, its rich historical traditions, the activities of public organizations, as well as the requirements set for them as future professionals.
Ø Develops a database of students residing in the student dormitory (SD).
Ø Maintains regular communication with the parents of students residing in the SD and provides them with information about their children's general well-being and educational progress based on their requests.
Ø Keeps close contact with experienced educators from similar educational institutions and regularly exchanges experiences with them.
Ø Also works on improving the system of extracurricular activities for students at the SD, ensuring the effectiveness of the educational work with youth, involving students in socially beneficial activities and interesting events, organizing their cultural recreation, improving conditions for mastering subjects and preparing for classes, ensuring strict adherence to the dormitory's entry and exit procedures, raising awareness about harmful ideologies, and preventing issues such as drug abuse, AIDS, and other social problems.
Ø All spiritual and educational events held in the SD are organized in cooperation with the Student Council.
Ø The Educator-Pedagogue has the right to submit proposals to the Rector regarding administrative and organizational actions concerning professors, teachers, and departments that fail to implement planned events in the student dormitories.
Ø The spiritual and educational, legal, and upbringing activities held in the student dormitories are carried out within the framework of the university's spiritual and educational work plan.
