Professor Badarch Dendev, Vice-Chancellor (Provost)
Professor Badarch Dendev is an internationally recognized leader in higher education, former Director of UNESCO, and an expert on digital transformation, systems thinking, and educational innovation. With over 40 years of experience in academia, government, and international organizations, he has led major reforms in the development of higher education, digital learning, and research in Asia and Europe.He has served as Rector of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, President of the National University of Mongolia, and Director of UNESCO, including in Paris, Moscow, and Tashkent. He is widely recognized for being the first to introduce Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) in Mongolia, for his advocacy of open and digital education policies, and for his support for institutional transformation and capacity building.Professor Dendev is the author of 15 books, over 40 scientific articles, and over 300 academic papers. His current work focuses on higher education transformation, artificial intelligence in education, systems thinking, and lifelong learning.
