The International University of Tourism "Silk Road", located in the city of Samarkand, requires highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism management as teachers (academic degree is welcomed).

Requirements to candidates:

• KPI or CV, written by the candidate personally in English, Uzbek, Russian languages;
• video recording of the lesson in the subject of specialization in English (at least 20 minutes);
• list of scientific works;
• a certificate on the level of knowledge of a foreign language (B2 and above), issued by the State Testing Center in accordance with the requirements of the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to further improve the quality of teaching foreign language in educational institutions" from August 11, 2017 № 610 and an equivalent document on the level of knowledge of English (IELTS-6.5, TOEFL 575, such certificates are not mandatory for specialists who studied and taught abroad);
• experience of work in the sphere of education for more then 2 years;
• skills of work with computer equipment, confident knowledge of English and profession;
• awareness of primary teaching documentation;
• in case of necessity, readiness to work away from the workplace;
• initiative, desire to lead an active professional activity;
• diligence, sense of purpose, responsibility.

On the 2 of July, 2020 the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism with the support of the Practice and Training Department of the University and chef of the Roman school "Tor Carbone" Claudio Fattorini held an online culinary master class on the theme: «How to make a seasonal Italian risotto using asparagus».

During this Claudio Fattorini clearly demonstrated the process of preparing the Italian dish – “Risotto” and also shared his professional experience.

 Claudio told the story of the Italian dish Risotto, as it is one of the culinary symbols of Italy along with pizza and spaghetti. As it was said this dish appeared accidentally thanks to the absent-mindedness of the cook who cooked rice soup but forgot about it and all the broth evaporated. Surprisingly cook found delicious rice in the pot similar to the most delicate cream with pieces of vegetables and meat. The first recipes for Italian risotto appeared in the XVI century and now there are about thousand ways how to prepare this dish.

At the end of the master class the participants expressed their gratitude to the Italian specialist and noted that such events should be held regularly.
