With the assistance of the Embassy of Tajikistan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, scientific works on archaeological excavations in Tajikistan and a huge number of books on folk art of the Pamirs were delivered to the library of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism.

The monographs of these works are devoted to the formation and archaeological science in Tajikistan. Conducting systematic and comprehensive studies of monuments on the territory of the republic. The archaeological sites of Southern Tajikistan are of great scientific and artistic significance, where various social, cultural and religious phenomena and traditions interacted, leaving a deep mark on the history of not only Tajikistan but also Asia as a whole.

In fairness that the countries have shared cultural origins and traditions for more than a thousand years(Samanids, Gaznevids, Temurids, Mongol Empire, Bukhara Emirate, Kokand).

Thanks to the contribution of foreign countries, diplomatic embassies and representative offices the library has a rich book collection, where in addition to the main educational fund, literature on electronic media is also presented: electronic encyclopedias, dictionaries, textbooks, textbooks, multimedia albums on DVD, audio-visual materials.

The "Silk Road" International University of Tourism announces the second second enrollment acceptance of documents in bachelor's degree areas from August 20 to September 10 of this year.

Due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus were taken additional measures to reduce the risks of spreading the infection.

  The Administration of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism officially announces to its students the need to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Students must provide a certificate of vaccination. Those students who are contraindicated in vaccination must bring this document to the medical staff of the University before the start of the academic year. Students who have not received the vaccine will not be allowed to enter the building of the “Silk Road” University, and therefore, this is equivalent to skipping classes. Vaccinated university students, regardless of their organizational and legal form, are given a one-time discount of 10% of the basic payment of the contract for the 2021/2022 academic year.

  It is worth noting that the entire Administration and the entire teaching staff of the University underwent a vaccination course in accordance with the law on mandatory vaccination of certain categories of the population.

According to the British Embassy in Tashkent, the competition for the “Chevening” Scholarship Program, which offers the opportunity to study for a master's degree at prestigious universities in the United Kingdom, has begun.
The “Chevening” Scholarship Program is funded by the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. This includes tuition, monthly stipends, airfare, travel to and from the UK, visas and Chevening events in the UK.
The program allows for master's degrees in all higher education institutions in the UK, including Cambridge, Oxford and the London School of Economics.

- Be a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

The “Silk Road” International University of Tourism announces that the deadline for applications for the Master’s Degree in the following specialties is August 20, 2021. Acceptance of documents is carried out through the official website of the university.

• Pilgrimage tourism;

Note: Education at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism is conducted in English. IELTS (above 6.5), TOEFL (above 79), CEFR (above B2) certificate is required.  Applicants who do not currently have a specific certificate will have the opportunity to submit a certificate by October 1, 2021 to enroll.

If an applicant passes the national or international English language proficiency test between August 20 and October 1, 2021 and gets the appropriate score, all the costs of the language proficiency test are paid by the university for the applicants.

No national or international certificate is required for the graduates of foreign higher education institutions, where the language of instruction is English, including non-governmental and private higher education institutions in our country where the language of instruction is English.

Dear students of our university, we invite you to the academic event "Caravanserais along the Silk Roads" organized by USSUN (UNITED STUDENTS OF SILK-ROAD UNIVERSITIES NETWORK)!
The theme of the event is Caravanserai, which had been important for the Silk Road trade in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and Europe since ancient times. Some of the caravanserais still exist today, but many of them have disappeared completely, and we can see some of them in ruins.
Students of the “United Students of the Silk Road University Network” can contribute to this cultural academic event and enrich the Silk Road heritage by submitting articles and photographs on topics covered in the brochure.
Selected articles will be allowed to be presented for 20 minutes at the “International Association for Silk Road Studies” conference on November 24-25, 2021.

On August 10, 2021, British photographer Julian Elliott together with the Coordinator of the project of the electronic library of the Turkic world "Otrar" under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Asel Lakhaeva, as and the famous uzbek photographer Feruz Rustamov, visited the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism as a part of an official visit to Samarkand, in order to create a joint publishing photo project with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Culture, the Agency for the Regulation of the Alcohol and Tobacco Market and the Development of Winemaking of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

From the first minutes of the visit the guests highly appreciated the scale of the design of the "Smart Campus" of the University. During the excursion that was organized for them, special attention was paid to expositions dedicated to the Great Silk Road. According to J. Elliott, "Now the concept of travel is changing in the world. Due to these global changes, as well as taking into account the desire of tourists to feel like locals in the country, my visit is aimed at a deeper discovery of Uzbekistan. Having visited the "Silk Road" University of Tourism, where all the necessary conditions have been created for the training of highly qualified specialists in the field of tourism, having seen and felt the atmosphere, I am sure that Uzbekistan will become soon even more famous on the world stage."

I would like to note that today, Julian Elliott is a professional photographer of the British edition of the travel guides "Bradt Travel Guides", who has received various awards in the world format for his many years of activity, the distinctive feature of which is the minimal use of editing programs while processing photos on the camera, which conveys natural beauty and clarity, making the photographer unique.

In turn, the coordinator of the project of the electronic library of the Turkic world "Otrar" Assel Lakhaeva noted the high level of equipment of the University Library, and promised to contribute and replenish the Library with books.

Thanks to modern technologies, using the online proctoring system "Examus" we managed to achieve transparency of the exam and speed up the process of checking and announcing the results.
