One of the important policy priorities of the Government of the Republic of Korea is to pay special attention to the academic industry. In order to train highly qualified professionals and increase competitiveness at the international level, large investments are made in the development of education. The effective education system of the Republic of Korea is also reflected in our country. In order to enrich the teaching methods and develop the education system at the “Silk Road” university, a large amount of educational literature was sent to the university library by the efforts of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Uzbekistan.

Today the university library contains a huge amount of literature, is equipped with modern equipment, a language lab, which provides all the necessary electronic materials for learning foreign languages and more detailed acquaintance with tourist literature. Taking into account all the conditions created, the textbook in Korean will play an important role in the study of the Korean language, Korean culture, its life and traditions.

It is worth noting that on January 17, 2020, a representative of the “SILK-ROAD UNIVERSITIES NETWORK” (South Korea) represented by the Secretary General-Professor Sungdon Hwang paid a working visit to the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism. Today, students of the “Silk Road” University of Tourism actively participate in various training programs of the “SILK-ROAD UNIVERSITIES NETWORK”.

The Embassy of Turkey in the Republic of Uzbekistan has replenished the library fund of the International University of Tourism "Silk Road" with new and unique publications in the Turkish language.

The collection contains humanitarian and tourist literature, thematic dictionaries. The main part of the books is not earlier than the 2018 release year. A wide selection of books on tourism, art and geography, colorful encyclopedias, as well as educational literature. It is worth noting that many of the donated books are unique as they are published in a limited edition.

Thanks to the capabilities of the modern library which in turn is divided into several reading areas: the Hall of electronic resources, the Central Hall, the International Hall, the National Hall, the Hall of rare books, as well as the "Brainstorming-room", university students can view books at the shelf and select the necessary publications, can search through an electronic database, or contact an employee with a specific application. At the moment, the library fund of the university has more than 15 thousand printed books, as well as more than two thousand books in electronic access.
