On the 2nd of March this year, at the initiative of the Department for Tourism Development of the Samarkand region, with the support of the State Committee for Tourism Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Khokimiyat of the region, were held cultural and entertainment events aimed at the development of domestic tourism in our country.
Within the framework of the event, theatrical performances and concert programs were organized on the square in front of the Samarkand Regional Music and Drama Theater named after H.Alimjan. It is worth noting that the students of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism also took an active part in the entertainment programs.
On this day, the entrance to all cultural heritage sites and museums of the region was absolutely free for the citizens and guests of Samarkand. The organizers, in cooperation with the tourism organizations of the region, held various quizzes and competitions among visitors, the winners of which were awarded with memorable gifts and tour packages for 2 people for traveling around Uzbekistan.
