The first in 2021-year meeting of the Senate of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism

The most important issues related to the educational process, scientific activities, as well as the improvement of the university’s position in international rankings were put forward on the agenda of the Senate meeting. Thus, the meeting was started with the information of the First Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Strategic Development J.Eltazarov and the head of the Accreditation Department U.Gulyamov on the completed tasks set out in the protocol of the meeting of the University Board of Trustees No. 3 of November 30, 2020. In addition, U.Gulyamov published data on the current state of affairs in the process of including the University in the International system of university rankings and the implementation of the “Road Map”.

Head of the Department of monitoring and organization of the educational process F.Nurov introduced the senators to the process of organizing and conducting Final Exams. F.Nurov also proposed an initiative to provide financial support to university professors and teachers who contribute to the creation of new textbooks and teaching aids.

Head of the Scientific Department F.Abdurakhmanov reported on the progress of scientific work carried out in the current academic year, as well as the implementation of the Resolution No.1030 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and assignment of monthly and one-time incentives to professors and lecturers of the university with academic degrees. Scientific Department announced the list of approved topics and scientific supervisors of basic doctoral students, independent researchers and trainees admitted to training in 2021.

In addition to the above issues, the senators discussed the draft of the new Charter of the Council of Young Scientists, as well as the plan for the defense of master’s theses at the end of the current academic year.
