The “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and cultural heritage became a grant winner of the US Embassy to organize the “Student drama Club”

The coordinator of the grant is Professor Kamol Mustaev.

The “Student Drama Theater” will be the only one in the Samarkand region that will show performances only in English. The project gives students the opportunity to study American (theatrical) art, acting, communicate, perform in public, master the skills of fluent speech, perfectly study and develop English. Thus, the harmonization of interethnic relations among young people serves to strengthen the culture of friendship, mutual solidarity, humanism and tolerance in society. 25 students will participate in the project as supervisors, and more than 1,000 students will become project participants.

The main goal of the project:

  • First, students should develop and improve their English;
  • Secondly, to study the cultural heritage of the USA;
  • Thirdly, the assimilation of various communication styles;
  • Fourth, to study literary heroes;
  • Fifth-to use body language.
  • Sixth, to study postmodern American drama.

Through this grant, such lofty goals will be achieved as strengthening the feeling of a multinational large family in society, further strengthening friendship and harmony between representatives of various nationalities living in the republic, educating the younger generation in the spirit of love and devotion to the Motherland.
