The University conducts a series of practical seminars provided by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ)

Starting from May 25 this year, on the basis of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage were launched series of practical seminars in the areas of tourism and hotel business, within the framework of the German Society for International Cooperation’s (GIZ) program “Support for economic reforms and sustainable economic development in regions of Uzbekistan”.

On the opening day of the training seminar, the First Vice-Rector of the University J. Eltazarov emphasized the importance of high-quality training and professional skills of future personnel who will become potential employees in the hospitality and service industry.

The head of the Department for Science, Education and Research of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan – A. Eshtaev drew the attention of the participants to the need to improve theoretical and practical skills, as well as to master the best practices of foreign countries in training personnel in the field of tourism.

The training seminar is organized for selected college and technical school teachers who have passed the selection criteria to work on pilot courses, work with practical laboratories and participate in a study tour to Ireland this summer.

The Academic staff of Karakalpak State University, as well as Khiva College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Margilan College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Andijan College of Tourism and Service take part in these seminars.

Practical seminars will continue until May 28 incl.
